It’s been a journey photographing this Belgian horse team. Geoff and Dave Hoar are pictured here driving the sled after finishing up feeding cows. This father/son combination have worked hard, together training these horses. It started with 2 of them and then adding a 3rd member to the team for a couple of years. And finally adding the fourth red roan gelding.

It’s not often that you get 4 matching red roan horses that work seamlessly together. The two in the center are leaning into each other as if they are telling each other secrets or just commenting on how deep the snow is. Regardless, the light along with the snow combined to create one of my favorite photos.
