Belgian horses feeding cows

In today’s world, it’s rare to see a triple team of Belgian horses feeding cattle. It’s typically done with tractors. But on this day my good friend, Geoff decided to hook up his team of red roan mares to do the work.  It was just like the good old days.

It’s not often that you get 3 matching red roan horses that work seamlessly together. They walked through the snow, pulling the sled with the round bale. Eventually rolling it out for the cattle to eat. It was a special moment in the pasture hearing the horses move through the snow, snorting occasionally while their driver talked calmly to them. As a result, the cattle were quietly eating fresh hay behind them.
