About
Holly Nicoll
Growing up on a cattle ranch west of Calgary, I was far more comfortable in cowboy boots and a ball cap than anything dressy. That world still feels like home to me—horses, branding pens, wheat fields, big prairie skies, and dusty backroads.
For over 25 years, I had a career in agriculture, working in sales and marketing roles across crop protection and animal nutrition. In time, I started picking up the camera because I couldn’t find the visuals I needed to tell the story properly. What started as a creative outlet became something more. A way to reconnect with my roots and capture agriculture and Western life with honesty and depth.
Today, I create authentic, high-quality photography for agribusinesses, agencies, farmers, ranchers, and Western brands. My work is grounded in real life. I photograph the people, places, livestock, land, and everyday moments that make this industry what it is. My focus is on content that helps brands build trust, tell stronger stories, and connect with their audience.
Because of my background in agriculture marketing, I understand that strong photography has to do more than look good. It needs to work across campaigns, websites, social media, advertising, and brand communications. My goal is always to deliver imagery that captures the grit, beauty, and spirit of agriculture and the West in a way that feels genuine and useful.
I’ve been proud to work with clients including AdFarm, Agriculture for Life, Calgary Stampede, Corteva, Eau Claire Distillery, Hi-Pro Feeds, Nutrien, Pride Seeds, SeCan, Syngenta Canada, Trouw Nutrition, and WestMET Ag.
So, whether you are planning a commercial campaign, building a stronger visual brand, or documenting the people and place behind your operation, I’d love to work with you. Let’s create imagery that reflects the reality of your world and the strength of the story behind it.
